Browband Sizes

Beaded Browbands come in a standard horse size of 16 inches.

Custom Sizes
For a custom fit, measure your horse. Place the bridle that you want to use on your horse. At the spot where the browband will go, start at the BOTTOM edge (the edge facing the ground) of the check strap of the headstall, measure up and over the horse's forehead and down to the bottom edge of the headstall on the other side. When ordering, please indicate if the bridle is single or double piece wide
so that the end loops can be fitted to your bridle. Browbands can be made to
fit any size horse: Pony, Cob, Standard, and Draft

Leather Colors

Currenly available are 12 different leather colors to match your bridle.
These range from Light (Natural) all the way to deep Black. Each
leather loop is hand cut and has a decorative edging added.

Styles
The browbands come in two styles:
Single and Double
Single strand has a decorative center
Double strand has a concho and beaded tassel

Leather Colors

Desert Tan
(a very light bridle color) Prairie Tan
(very light with just a hint of brown) Acorn Brown
(a nice bridle tan color) Canyon Tan
(a rich saddle tan color)

Fudge Brown
(This color will match a lot of medium brown bridles) Lt Mahagony
(A medium brown that is very similar to Fudge Brown, but is a little "flater" with more brown and less of a golden/yellow tinge ) Timber Brown
(A medium brown that has a tinge of red) Tan
(A deep brown with a little bit of red.. This will match most bridles. Why it is called "Tan" I don't know -- should be listed as a dark brown )

Dark Mahagony
(This is a dark brown that will match most dark brown bridles) Dark Brown
(This brown is so dark that it actually looks almost black. Just like some horses!) Midnight Black Pink
(Sorry, not a very good sample and it is showing streaks of color)

Measuring for the Loops
Bridle headstalls generally come in 3 styles:
Single (no throat latch)
Double (separate throat latch)
Combined (wide and splits)

When placing and order, for the Browband loops to fit properly, the style and width
of the bridle needs to be measured. If replacing a browband, this is especially
easy since the current loops can be measured. Below are examples of the
various styles and instructions on how to measure of the browband loops.

Doing the Measurements

For the Browband to fit properly, the two end loops must fit the headstall. Measure from "A" to B" which measures from the front edge of the headstall strap to the back edge. If it is a double strap headstall, measure from the front edge of the first strap to the back edge of the second strap. When ordering, please indicate if you need a new slider.

Measuring for the right browband size:
